To nurture your child’s faith is to guide them in discovering God’s love and presence. Our program partners with families to help children grow spiritually through:

Prayer and Christian values
Participation in sacraments and liturgical celebrations
A deeper understanding of Sacred Scripture
Pastoral and faith-based activities

HOW LONG?

4-year program

Our catechism program offers a 2-year preparation for First Communion (starting from grade 2 onward) and a 2-year preparation for Confirmation.

Each catechism year includes 20 lessons, held on a weekly basis, beginning in mid-October.

REGISTRATION FEES*

$125 for the first child
$100 for each additional sibling

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

Program requirements

FOR CHILDREN

2-year program

20 lessons, plus:

Field trip (mandatory)
2 to 3 church-based activities

FOR PARENTS & CHILDREN

Mass Attendance

Weekly attendance at either the Saturday 5PM or Sunday 11AM Masses is required for all students. Children must be accompanied by a parent.

FOR PARENTS

"The Search"

All parents are expected to participate in a 7-week program called “The Search”, which will be offered at least twice a year, during the catechism program.

ONLY SPECIFIC CASES

Home program

Home program will be allowed only in specific cases, which will have to be discussed with the Faith and Family Team. Once given permission to have your child(ren) learn at home, you are responsible for guiding your child(ren) in the completion of their workbook and supplementary material that will be provided through our catechist, according to the schedule we provide.

What do I need to register?

Registration fees — If in-person, cash only. All registration fees are non-refundable.
A photocopy of your child’s Baptism certificate (issued by the church where the child was baptized)*

*NOT the blue Québec birth certificate
